One of the most popular items in the Jewish religion is the Kiddush Cup. A Kiddush cup (also known as a wine goblet) is regularly used on Friday evening for the Kiddush of Shabbat. It is also used for Kiddush on high holidays such asSukkot , Passover and Rosh hashanah . The Kiddush is refers to the blessing which is recited to the wine before the meal begines. After the Kiddush is made , every one of the family members drinks from the kiddush cup’s blessed wine. After drinking the wine , the family members begin to eat the meal . The kiddush cup may be used again at the end of Shabbat for the Havdalah .

When it comes to special Jewish Jewelry and Kabbalah Jewelry , there are plenty of stories to tell , and plenty of special jewelry to choose from . The King Solomon seals an old source of great wisdom is one of those special and unique Jewish items. These seals are known all over the world for their special powers; Christians and Muslims also believe in their powers , and the evidence for such belief can be found in churches and mosques all over the world , where the seals are embedded in their decorations as a source of divine power. King Solomons seals bear the ancient wisdom of King Solomon , that was known as the wisest man to ever exist. This powerful source of wisdom can now be in reach of every person – the wisdom of love, protection and harmony. According to tradition , the original seal came from King Solomon ring . The ring contained engraved symbols , letters , names of angles , codes and acrostics of biblical verses .
Last , but not least is the Ketubah . According to the Jewish culture , a marriage is a contract between a man and wife. This is an agreement between two people with legal rights and obligations to one another. A Ketubah is exactly like a court legal agreement. This contract explains the basic material, and moral responsbilities of the husband to his wife. It is signed by the groom, as well as two witnesses, and given to the bride during the wedding ceremony . It has become traditional, since at least the fourteenth century, to decorate the Ketubah as artwork and hang it in the home as a keepsake. It is forbidden for Jewish couples to live together without a Ketubah. If the Ketubah is lost, a new one must be written.
The last Jewish idea that I am going to talk about today is Kosher and Kashrut .
Kosher is a word that comes from the Jewish culture. Jewish people use this word mainly for describing food that meets Jewish dietary laws. kashrut, comes from the Hebrew word for “proper” or “fit”. Almost any food can be called kosher food if it applies to jewish law, or the Jewish halacha. The traditional Jewish foods are not necessarily Kosher and can not be called “Kosher” at any times. Foods like Kugel , Cholnet or Latke are well familiarized with the jewish kitchen , but to be really Kosher , they must meet certain standards of preparation according with the Kashrutstandards.
The word “Kosher” as a daily slang inside and outside the Jewish world-
“kosher” is used every day not only for food. Kosher , that basically means that something follows all the Jewish legal guidelines, went out from the Jewish world into the American slang – to mean proper , appropriate or legitimate. So when you sometimes hear the phrase “that’s not kosher” outside of the jewish context , it really means “that’s not right”. When people use the word Kosher inside the Jewish world , they usually use it to show that something is done according to the Halacha or the Jewish law. For example; at Sukkot holiday people use the word Kosher to refer to a well made Sukkah or well picked “Shiv’at haminim” .At Passover it is also used oftenly when refered to the seder table and I’ts content . We also refer to a passover seder that is done as it supposed to as “Seder Kehilchato” that means a “Kosher seder” .
